This is an interesting choice for the video editors at the Times. Note that this is underwritten exclusively by FedEx. I am curious to know if FedEx came to the NYT with the idea or if the NYT pitched FedEx.

A couple at the inauguration in Washington DC watching Obama take the Oath of Office.
It was nearly a year ago that Barack Obama was elected President. I remember election night as if it were yesterday and I hope I always will feel that way about that night. A year into his presidency and another year into the recession and another year fighting two wars, it is perhaps a good time to revisit the promise of last year and consider the continuing challenges ahead. We had a great meeting last night at 619. Amy, Dan, Elizabeth and Linden came down to look at the space. We agreed that we should try and come to the next Artwalk which is on November 5th and then try and meet again at 6:30 on the 10th. Here are some pictures of the space:
Amy and Elizabeth took measurements and we all brainstormed ideas for layout. One idea is to hang on the available wall spaces (I believe there are 9 walls spaces suitable for hanging posters, broadsides etc…) and then setting up an L shape of tables in the central area for selling smaller works. It would be great if everyone who is planning on showing contributes to this blog area with suggestions, possible meeting times and promotional ideas. I’m a little new to this blogging stuff so bear with me while I figure all of this out. Thanks,
